A South America trip is a bucket list item for many travelers, and for good reasons. This vibrant continent is full of diverse cultures, incredible landscapes, as well as unforgettable adventures off the beaten path. Overall, I spent 2 months backpacking through Peru, Bolivia, and Chile.
So, what should you expect from a trip to South America? In Bolivia, the surreal Salar de Uyuni, the world’s largest salt flats, feels like another planet. Chile surprises with its dramatic deserts as well as soaring mountains. And Peru? It’ll leave you speechless with its rich cultural heritage as well as Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley. In fact, I truly believe these countries are among the best places to visit in the world.
